The Free Surf Camp is based 5 km south of Peniche, and with 80 km north of Lisboa it is just a hour drive to the next airport. Peniche is considered to be one of the best surf regions in Europe, every surfer from beginner to expert can find suitable waves for surfing around the year. The Peniche peninsula has both a north and south facing coast providing an impressive amount of surf breaks in a very short distance. The long and sandy beaches offer excellent conditions for beginners to learn fast and in a safe way. More experienced surfers will find perfect conditions to improve their skills on either good sand bank breaks or accessible reef breaks. Peniche also has a world class surf break: Supertubos, also known as the European Pipeline.
